user_class file for ps_payment_method.php Download

Description:

This file is an override for the Virtuemart file ps_payment_method.php. As it is a user_class file, the main Virtuemart file is not hacked and you can always update your Virtuemart without loosing the functionality.

The override changes the listing of payment methods in the following way: For each shopper group only those payment methods are listed, that are assigned to them in Virtuemart's backend. I.e. for non-default shopper groups the payment methods of the default shopper group are not listed.
Notice: if you need the same payment method for several shopper groups, you have to make copies of that payment method and assign them to the different shopper groups.

In order to make this override work you have to:
1. copy the file to the following place (using FTP):
your_joomla_root/components/com_virtuemart/themes/your_theme/user_class/ps_payment_method.php
(create the folder user_class if it doesn't already exist)
2. activate the user_class-feature on the security-tab of the Virtuemart configuration under: Admin->Configuration->Security tab->Security Settings
